Program Description:

Salamanca, Spain
Spend a summer in the sparkling city of Salamanca, Spain with AIFS! Study a variety of academic program options and earn up to 11 credits at the University of Salamanca. Known as the “Golden City” due to the golden glow its sandstone buildings give in the sun, the entire city of Salamanca is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ambience during the summer is especially lively, with a large international student population enjoying the open-air events organized by the university.

Courses are taught in English and Spanish, for both beginner and intermediate or above levels of Spanish.

Live in a Spanish homestay with 3 meals per day. Additional housing and meal plan options are available.

You’ll enjoy cultural and social activities such as: 
  • Guided city walks

  • Museum visits
  • Tapas tours
  • Flamenco performances
  • Day trip to Portugal
  • Day trip to Mogarraz, La Alberca and Riomalo
An optional 4-day excursion to Morocco is also available for select sessions. A 2-night tour of London, England is included for students on the AIFS Flight Package.
