Faculty-led LGBT Views of Europe: Literature, Art and Civil Rights

The Program:
This course combines the study of literature and art with the social history of LGBTQ civil rights movements in Western Europe. We will look at works and events from the late nineteenth century to the present. We will explore the struggles and emerging values in the LGBTQ communities. The course culminates in a three-week journey to four key cities for Western European LGBTQ people: London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Barcelona.

Requirements 2.5 GPA, consent of instructor, good disciplinary record, undergraduate status

Course Selection ENG 491- Graduate students are welcome to take the course but it only counts as an undergraduate level course
