St. Petersburg, Russia
Spend a summer in the thriving, artistic city of St. Petersburg, Russia with AIFS! Choose from a wide range of course options offered at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University where you can earn up to 7 semester credits. The university is home to more than 26,000 students and 2,000 professors, including Nobel Prize winning physicist Pyotr Kapitsa.

Courses are taught in English or Russian with no previous Russian language study required.
 
Immerse yourself in Russian culture and language in one of a limited number of homestays or stay at a comfortable residence hall with other Russian and international students. During the first week, all students live in the residence hall while getting accustomed to the program. A meal allowance is included to subsidize the cost of meals and groceries for all students. Meals are included for the first three days of the program and a farewell meal.
 
Cultural and social activities are organized every week and can include:
  • Museum visits
  • Theater performances
  • Brewery tours
  • Boat trips
  • Siege of Leningrad tour
  • 3-day visit to Moscow
  • Day trips to Catherine Palace at Pushkin, Peterhof and Veliky Novgorod
