Student Life and Surroundings

The campus at Toowoomba is home to over 4,000 students, and is the main campus at USQ.  Toowoomba’s campus provides students with modern facilities including 24-7 computer lab access, art gallery/theatre, a post office, two banks, a traditional Japanese garden, student bookstore, and a library with incredible student support.

Students at USQ have many opportunities to become involved in academics, athletics, and clubs.  The residence halls organize frequent social gatherings and sports competitions.  For academic support, students can join a learning community specific to their area of need.

Toowoomba is located about 90 minutes outside of Queensland’s biggest city, Brisbane.  Brisbane and the surrounding areas are home to some of the worlds most beautiful beaches.  With an excellent public transport system, it is easy and affordable to get around.  Brisbane has a substantial arts scene including live music of all genres.  Brisbane has hosted several international championships including the Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cup, and is even making a bid for the 2024 Olympic Games.
