Program Description:

San José, Costa Rica
  • Earn 3 semester credits during a 2-week January term studying abroad in San José, Costa Rica.
  • Select a course from either Costa Rican Health Care System and Tropical Medicine or a social science course, Conflict Resolution and Health Care, both taught in English.
  • Homestay accommodations in San José with a Costa Rican family (includes internet access).
  • To help you get a true taste of Costa Rican culture, the AIFS team in San José arranges a variety of cultural and social activities such as a tour of the National Theater, walking tours and a visit to indoor markets to learn about Costa Rican food and produce.
  • An optional 3-day excursion to Manuel Antonio National Park is also available.
  • Transcripts issued by Veritas University.
