Program Description:
Jamaica: Service-Learning Experience
Jamaica service learningThe Program:
This course will explore various aspects of Jamaican Culture with a particular emphasis on the educational system. In addition to learning about Jamaican culture and educational systems, we will investigate similarities and differences between the US educational system and the Jamaican educational system. Students will also learn about service-learning, what effective service-learning is and how service-learning models that are appropriate for educational settings.

Duration Tentative travel dates are Jan 2-12th
Eligibility second semester freshman up to first semester senior status and in good standing
